The National Capital Region was envisaged as a unified economic zone, allowing free movement of people between its parts. However, the levying of toll tax by various government authorities on passenger cabs moving between Delhi and other parts of NCR is against the spirit of this unified zone.

Let’s unite to raise our voice against the collection of Toll Tax for using cabs to travel within parts of NCR.

About the initiative

Residents of the National Capital Territory live in a zone that is envisaged as a unified one, meant for free movement of people between its parts. However, in actual practice, the levying of toll tax by various government authorities is against the spirit of this unified zone.

Today, a person living in one NCR city, working in another NCR city and making the conscious decision of using public transport for his daily commute in the form of a cab is actually penalized for doing so – upto Rs 395 being added to his cab bill everyday and upto Rs 1,03,095 annually for merely going to and from his workplace.

Absurd isn’t it?

Here’s how much toll tax, you pay every year in NCR

Living in Gurgaon, working in Noida

INR 1,03,095

Yearly

Living in Delhi, working in Noida

INR 57,420

Yearly

Living in Delhi, working in Gurgaon

INR 45,675

Yearly

We invite readers to join the initiative and sign a petition to do away with such tolls and #MakeNCRTollFree.
